Terms and cancellation policy

General

The Talmudo BeYado site ("the site") is operated by One Plus One – Software Development, licensed dealer no. 058679309, 14 Rabbi Shalom Shabazi St., Beitar Illit ("the business"). Using the site and placing an order through it constitute acceptance of these terms.

The product and its price

The site offers the Talmudo BeYado device — a dedicated E-Ink reader for Torah study with a preloaded library — in two sizes. The device description, box contents and current prices appear on the product and pricing pages. Prices include VAT and home delivery. The business may update prices from time to time; the binding price is the one shown on the site when the order was placed.

Payment

Payment is made in one of two ways, at the customer's choice: online by credit card on the secure payment page of the clearing company — card details are entered with the clearing company only, never pass through this site and are never stored on it; or by leaving your details on the site and completing the payment with us by phone. An order is considered confirmed only once payment has actually been received. Every purchase is accompanied by a lawful tax invoice.

Delivery

Delivery time is about two weeks from order confirmation. The device is shipped to the customer's home — there is no self-pickup. Should an unusual delay occur that is beyond the business's control, we will notify the customer and set a new date; in case of a substantial delay the customer may cancel the order for a full refund.

Cancellation and returns

A purchase on this site is a "distance selling transaction" as defined in the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and its cancellation rules apply:

  • The transaction may be cancelled from the day it was made and up to 14 days from receiving the device, or from receiving the transaction details document — whichever is later.
  • A customer who is a person with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant may cancel within four months of that date, provided the transaction included a conversation between the parties. The business may ask for an appropriate certificate.
  • A cancellation notice may be given through any of the contact channels at the end of this page — by phone, by email or through the site's contact form.
  • Cancellation not due to a defect or non-conformity: the money is refunded within 14 days of receiving the notice, to the same means of payment, minus a cancellation fee of 5% of the transaction price or 100 ILS — whichever is lower. The customer returns the device at their own expense, complete and in its original packaging where possible.
  • Cancellation due to a defect, non-conformity or another breach by the business: the full amount is refunded within 14 days with no cancellation fee, and the business bears the cost of returning the device.
  • Nothing in these terms derogates from any right the customer has under law.

Warranty

The device carries a one-year warranty from the day of delivery, as required by law. The warranty details and how to contact us are gathered on the warranty and service page.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — texts, design, photographs and trademarks — belongs to the business or to parties who licensed its use, and may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission. The list of books loaded on the device appears on the library page.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and any use of the site are governed solely by Israeli law. Exclusive jurisdiction rests with the competent court of the Jerusalem district.
