Pre-registerNo. The entire library is preloaded on the device and study works fully offline. A network connection is only needed if you want content updates.
The library and the application are identical on both. Only the screen differs: 10" is easier for study at a desk and for the full daf layout, while 7" is lighter to carry and fits in a pocket.
An E-Ink screen draws power only when the display changes, so a single charge lasts weeks of normal study.
No, and that is the point. The device ships locked to study only — no app store, no browsing, no notifications.
Library updates load over a one-time Wi-Fi connection, or by cable. No permanent connection is required.
